While we are unable to get out, it is important that you take care of yourself. Personally, I love spending the day at the spa, relaxing and being pampered. It’s going to be a long time until we can do that again, so here are the ways that I have been pampering myself at home.
How to pamper yourself at home
One of the first things that I do when I have a pamper day, is have a bath. I like to make it a really relaxing environment so I can properly chill out. Firstly, I’ll pick some nice music to listen to and then I will pick one of my scented candles to light. I think that it is important to have a candle lit, especially in one of your favourite scents. My favourite brand for candles is Bath and Body Works which I pick up from Notino. While I’m in the bath I also like to read, so I always take my kindle in there with me.
Pampering your body
Having a long soak in the bath is great, especially if you are feeling achey and need to relax. I will always put something special in the bath when I am having one of my pamper days, usually a bath bomb or some epsom salts.
When I have a pamper day, then I really go all out. I have recently got this BodyBoom Coffee Body Scrub which is amazing. I love a proper scrubby body scrub and it feels great to get rid of all of the dead skin. It is important to make sure you moisturise after you have exfoliated as well. I have a great collection of body lotions to choose from.
Pampering your face
When I have these pamper days, I always make sure I take care of my face as well. I will usually do some sort of face mask. I have quite a few to choose from, so it just depends on how my skin is feeling on that particular day. After I get out of the bath then I will go through my skincare routine.
I’ve recently been loving all of the skincare from Revolution Skincare. Once I have washed off my face mask and cleansed, then I will go in with the 5% Glycolic Acid Tonic. This is a great, gentle toner which really helps to clear up my skin. I use it night and day and it has made such a difference to my skin. The next thing I use is the 12.5% Vitamin C serum. This is a new discovery but it has really helped to brighten my skin in the couple of weeks that I have been using it. Again, I use this day and night and I am really enjoying using it. Finally, I use the Thirsty Quenching Moisturiser. This is more of a night cream as it is so thick but it is really hydrating. I have really dry skin and I have found that this has really helped me when I use it at night.
